Tax Deductibility

The Amie St Clair Melanoma Trust is endorsed as a deductible gift recipient by the Australian Taxation Office. If you wish to have your donation receipted, please send an email detailing the amount donated, date, name and address along with your order number.

Please note donations will not be refundable

Practical Information


There are a few options for transport.

Locally: if you are needed to travel locally and need assistance with transport, you can contact Community Transport in your area. If you ring your local Council, they will have the transport operator listed.

For patient transport within Wagga Wagga (Wagga residents needing transport to Riverina Cancer Care Centre (RCCC) or appointments:

Call 1300 275 227 to register as a Baptist Care client - Baptist Care will accept cancer patients and their carers, or anyone over the age of 65

Once registered with Baptist Care, you can book in the trips with Wagga Community Transport by calling (02) 6937 6100

Wagga Wagga Community Transport need 24 hours’ notice to book in a trip, each trip is $8 each way.

For some, Taxi vouchers may be suitable. This can be discussed with your GP.



The local Cancer Council provides transport to patients and carers who are travelling:

- From Wagga Wagga to Albury for treatment or specialist appointments

- From Wagga Wagga to Canberra for treatment of specialist appointments


Cancer Council NSW Transport to Treatment Service will bring patients TO Wagga Wagga from a number of locations.

While the Amie St Clair Trust does not offer financial assistance to patients directly, there are a number of avenues that our Nurse can assist qualifying patients with.

Another point of contact is the Cancer Council on 131120. There are a number of ways that they can help including linking up patients with accommodation options if you need to travel for treatment.  The Cancer Council can also access pro bono programs for legal and financial assistance:



IPTAAS:  The Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme is designed to help with the financial assistance towards travel and accommodation costs when a patient is required to travel distances for specialist medical treatment that is not available locally.




Can Assist provide direct financial assistance to people in country NSW affected by cancer. You can contact your local Branch for a confidential conversation on how Can Assist may be able to offer support.

Cancer Council: 131120 also provides counselling  

Counselling locally:  Wagga Community Health has 2x full time registered Psychologists that offer 6-12 counselling sessions at no cost. Patients can self-refer on 69386411 or speak to the Melanoma Nurse on 0413766232.
